Welcome to the 2025 ESBB International Conference: Quality Education (SDG4) in the Glocal and LoGlobal Era

The English Scholars Beyond Borders (ESBB) is delighted to announce the 2025 International Conference, which will be held in Taiwan. Join us in Taiwan for the 2025 ESBB International Conference as we will collaboratively explore and advance the frontiers of quality education. We look forward to your participation and to the enriching discussions that will undoubtedly emerge from this global gathering of educational scholars and practitioners.

Since the United Nations advocated the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in 2015, with a specific focus on the fourth goal--- Quality Education, many language education scholars have endeavored to implement inclusive and equitable programs by providing language support from Glocal and LoGlobal perspectives. Many researchers have emphasized the value of innovative curriculum design that incorporates global competencies and 21st century skills to prepare learners for a globalized world. However, several critical questions remain unanswered and require collective wisdom. For instance, how can English language programs be further adapted to meet the specific needs of diverse learner populations, particularly in conflict-affected or low-resource environments? In what ways can bilingual and English teacher training programs be improved to better prepare educators for the challenges of teaching in multicultural and multilingual classrooms? Additionally, what role can TESOL play in supporting the broader goals of SDG4, such as lifelong learning opportunities and the development of global citizenship? In alignment with the SDG4, the 2025 ESBB International Conference will explore the multifaceted dimensions of quality education. We invite scholars, educators, researchers, and practitioners to engage in meaningful dialogues and share innovative research and practices that contribute to the advancement of educational quality locally and globally.

Call for Proposals

The 2025 ESBB International Conference invites research papers, workshops, colloquia/symposia, and poster sessions. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words, sent via our submission platform. Please REGIESTER first.

The organizing committee invites proposals on any aspects of quality education. Proposals related to the following sub-themes are especially welcome but not limited to:

Topics Proposal Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions for individual papers, panel discussions, workshops, and poster presentations. Proposals should align with the conference theme and contribute to the discourse on enhancing the quality of education.

1. Paper Presentations: Proposals should include a title (15 words maximum), an abstract (150 words maximum), and a brief bio of the presenter(s) (up to 100 words).
2. Panel discussions: Proposals should include a title (15 words maximum), an overview of the panel theme (100 words maximum), abstracts for each presentation (150 words maximum each), and brief bios of the panelists (up to 100 words each).
3. Workshops: Proposals should include a title (15 words maximum), a detailed description of the workshop (150 words maximum), learning objectives, and a brief bio of the facilitator(s) (up to 100 words).
4. Poster Presentations: Proposals should include a title (15 words maximum), an abstract (150 words maximum), and a brief bio of the presenter(s) (up to 100 words).

Submission Process

All proposals must be submitted via the online submission system by June 30, 2025. Submissions will be blind peer-reviewed, and notifications of acceptance will be sent by August 15, 2025. Please ensure that your proposal adheres to the guidelines and provides a clear and concise summary of your intended presentation.
